BROKEN RECORDS

Not so much broken records as they are jazzed up records! Old discarded vinyl destined for the rubbish's pile found new purpose in an exhibition curated by Bendigo based street artist Mr Dimples.

When invited to be a part of the moving VINYL ART COLLECTIVE exhibition, I jumped at the chance and got to work on brainstorming concepts for a Twisted Series piece.

Eventually settling on an Elvis inspired mash up of Ain't Nothin but a Hound Dog and Jail House Rock. Acrylic painted on a vintage vinyl record (All painted areas are sealed in a mat and gloss varnish), a Basset Hound head and Elvis's iconic dance move from Jail house Rock.

VINYL ART COLLECTIVE moving exhibition kicking off at St John of God Bendigo - now showing.

31st July to 4th September.
