Thirsty Work is a painting of a Koala drinking directly from a water bottle (this is not usual behaviour, and is against advice as it is potentially dangerous to koalas to conume water this way as they may drown). The piece was created with layer of watered down acrylic paints and over layed with semi loose line format that create a sense of movement and life in the piece.
The original was created to raise funds for the 2019/20 Bush Fire Victims. It sold at the STREET ART BUSH FIRE APPEAL ACUTION held at Leonard Joel where a total of $304,600 was raised from all 2D, 3D artworks and jewellery auctioned on the day. With zero commissions, 100% of the sale price of all works were donated to the cause.
